Dory Scaltsas studied Mathematics and Philosophy in the USA and received his Doctorate in Philosophy at Oxford University. He taught Ancient Greek Philosophy at Oxford and the University of Edinburgh, where he ultimately held the Chair of Ancient Philosophy. In the past decade, he has been focusing on the theory of Creative Thinking, and on the Values of Artificial Intelligence. He pursues the promotion, not merely of Intelligence, but of Wisdom in society – Wisdom of the past, and Wisdom of the future.
