Antonis Economides holds a BA(Hons) Accounting, Finance and Economics from the University of Essex, UK, as well as a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the European University of Cyprus .
He worked at the audit firm Coopers & Lybrand (1993-1995), at the National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd (1995-1998) and from February 1999 until today, at the Public Service, holding various positions of the General Administrative Staff.
He is the Head of the Local Government Directorate, Ministry of Interior, since July 2018, while on July 2022, he has been promoted by the Public Service Commission, to the post of District Officer (Kyrenia).
