Nikiforos leads the tech engagements that pertain to Public Sector entities in Greece & Cyprus, including the domain of Research & Education. Amongst the most notable projects he’s been part of are Greece’s national vaccination platform (emvolio.gov.gr), featuring 0% downtime after 3+ years of continued use, the AWS Naxos Smart Island project (the first of its kind worldwide for AWS), and the training of a Large Language Model (LLM) in the Greek language. Nikiforos holds an MSc in Computer Science from Imperial College London and a BSc in Management Science and Technology from AUEB and after 3 years in AWS UK, he’s proud to have been repatriated & contribute to Greece’s digitalization efforts.
