Stefan Oelrich is a member of the Board of Management of Bayer AG and President of its Pharmaceuticals Division, headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Since assuming these roles in 2018, Stefan Oelrich has spearheaded a transformation of Bayer’s Pharmaceuticals business, focusing on key areas of healthcare innovation to improve the lives of patients.

Over his 30-year career in the pharmaceuticals business, Stefan Oelrich has led a series of bold transformations and revitalized performance at country and division level. Joining Bayer in 1989, he quickly assumed leadership positions in Latin America (Argentina, Uruguay), Europe (France, Belgium), and the United States. During his seven-year tenure at Sanofi, Stefan Oelrich led Sanofi Germany, Switzerland and Austria and built up the diabetes and cardiovascular business. He served on the Executive Committee of Sanofi prior to rejoining Bayer in 2018.

Stefan Oelrich is a member of the Supervisory Board of the university hospital Charité in Berlin.
