LtGen(r) Robert Mood spent nine years in the Arctic during the Cold War, after which he deployed to the Middle East in 1988, as a UNIFIL peacekeeper. He has completed two more UN tours to the Middle East as Head of Mission for UNTSO and UNSMIS, two NATO operations in Kosovo and headed the Army. Robert Mood retired in 2016 as the Norwegian military representative to NATO HQ. He has been active in the voluntary sector and is a former President of the Norwegian Red Cross. He is today a sought-after public speaker, engaged with the National Athletics Association on ethical issues, the Church of Norway on international issues, and publishes a Podcast.
