Nikitas Hatzimihail read law at Athens and obtained his doctorate from Harvard. Prior to his appointment at the University of Cyprus, he worked at the University of Oklahoma and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (U.L.B.), taught seminars at Harvard, Athens and Hanoi and was visiting scholar at Bremen and Cambridge. He is founder and director of the series Cyprus Law: Theory and Practice (Nomiki Bibliothiki), has . He has authored or edited numerous books in Greek and English, with 7 different international publishers, as well as dozens of articles for international journals and collections of essays. His research interests focus on international commercial law and dispute resolution, comparative law, the history of institutions and the administration of justice system. He is an ISPD Senior Research Fellow and Scientific Board member since its founding.
