Andreas Efstathiou is a Professor of Astrophysics and Scientific Computing in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering of European University Cyprus and Director of the Aristarchus Research Center. In the period 2014-2021 he served as Vice Rector of Research and External Affairs. Since 2021 he serves as Rector of the University. He is also Vice Chairman of the Research & Innovation Foundation. He has over 35 years of experience in academia.
