Nigar has served as Türkiye/Cyprus Director of the International Crisis Group since 2015, where she focuses on domestic security, regional conflicts, and broader security challenges facing Türkiye and its neighbors. In her role as Crisis Group’s Türkiye representative, she also oversees the organization’s Istanbul office With over 25 years of experience in the policy community, prior to Crisis Group Nigar has held leadership positions in several prominent civil society organizations and think tanks.
