Sheron has a PhD in semiconductor physics and 15+ years of experience working in sustainability, business development, government affairs, contract negotiations and technology marketing with academia and companies including Electrolux, imec, and Huawei. For the last five years Sheron has predominantly focused on EU government affairs, representing corporate interests but also as a policy officer at the European Commission. Currently, Sheron represents Cadence in the context of the EU Chips Act and other government initiatives for increasing domestic design and manufacturing capability in EMEA. Sheron also manages the Cadence EMEA start-up investment portfolio of customers and supports collaborations & negotiations with (academic) partners and startups, particularly in the field of sustainability.
