Dr. George Kotrotsios dedicated his professional life to the creation of economic and societal value through high-end technology. He served as member of the Executive Board of CSEM, a major Swiss Research and Innovation center in microelectronics and smart digital systems (2010-2022). Since February 2023, he is involved in the preparation of new projects related to technological innovation, among others as technology advisor to three medical scale-up’s. ​ Board memberships (selection) Executive Board, European Association of Research and Technology Organisations, EARTO (2009-2018)   International Advisory Board of IDIAP (www.idiap.ch), (2021-), research center on AI Executive Board, Heterogeneous Technology Alliance-HTA) of Fraunhofer-Microelectronics, CEA, VTT and CSEM on Smart Digital Systems (2010-2022) - Chairman in 2012, 2016 and 2020 Task Force for the Open Quantum Institute, an intiative of GESDA (Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator;gesda.global) (2020-2022) He authored two monograph “Data, New Technologies and Global Imbalances” and “Social Classes and Political Order in the age of Data”. His articles and interviews appeared in major Swiss newspapers (“Le Temps” and “Agefi”) and in "Kathimerini" in Greece. ​ In 2015 he has been elected member of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences.
