Alexandros N. Angelopoulos, was born in Athens in 1972. He graduated with a degree in Business Management from Boston University in 1995, and attended Boston College for his postgraduate studies in International Management (1998). Alexandros Angelopoulos is the Vice President of Aldemar Resorts, a leading resorts company in Greece. Under his leadership, the company has introduced innovative policies and practices that have redefined Greek hospitality. Alexandros is highly engaged in the Greek and European business ecosystems. He is a founding member of the Hellenic Competitiveness Council and serves as Vice President of the Hellenic Entrepreneurs Association, Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, and Member of the Leadership Council of Boston University in Greece. Additionally, he is the Ambassador for all 5-star hotels in the Peloponnese and the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine for the region. Recently, he was elected to the Governing Council of the University of Patras, with the aim to contribute to the University’s strategic development, strengthening its connections with society, and enhancing its global outreach. In 2025, he was also elected Vice President of the Board of Directors of HAPCO & DES, further strengthening his involvement in the conference and events sector, and Member of BoD of American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce. Alexandros has led efforts to incorporate sustainability into business practices and is committed to educating and mentoring young talent. In 2018, he joined the Sustainability Development Center on Governance and Public Law. From 2019 to 2024, he taught "Sustainable Development in Tourism" at the University of Piraeus. His dedication to sustainability earned him the title of "Responsible Sustainability Leader" at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards in 2021.
