Stavroula Georgiou serves as an Administrative Officer at the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare of Cyprus since 2022. Within the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare, which is the coordinative body of the government for ageing issues, her sphere of work includes the development of policies related to active ageing, through the National Strategy and Action Plan on Active Ageing. She also represents the Deputy Ministry in relevant European and international bodies/ initiatives such as the Standing Working Group on Ageing of UNECE and the Council’s Recommendation on access to affordable high-quality long-term care.
