Shruti Singh

Shruti Singh is a Senior Economist at the OECD, where she leads the organisation’s work on Ageing and Employment Policies. She heads a team of economists, and works with governments and employers, providing policy advice and supporting reforms to help labour markets adapt to demographic changes and increased longevity. Since joining the OECD in 2007, Shruti has led research and authored reports on active ageing, career mobility, and retention of older workers, as well as age diversity, disability, and mental health at work. She co-leads the award-winning initiative Living, Learning and Earning Longer, which helps companies around the world design age-friendly workplaces and practices that support a multigenerational workforce. Her research and insights have been published in outlets including the Journal of the Economics of Ageing, Forbes, Le Monde and the Financial Times. Previously, she managed the OECD Centre for Opportunity and Equality (COPE) under the Inclusive Growth Initiative and has written extensively on labour market policies supporting displaced and under-represented workers. Before joining the OECD, she was a policy analyst at the UK Department for Work and Pensions, contributing to the design of key labour market reforms.
