Vasileios Loukopoulos is a Full Professor in the Department of Physics of the University of Patras. He holds a BSc. in Physics and a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Department of Physics of the University of Patras in Greece. He also holds two M.Sc. in “Theoretical, Computational Physics and Astrophysics” and “Quality Assurance”. He is Director of the Postgraduate Program in Advanced Studies in Physics. His Academic experience is long lasting in Higher Education at Undergraduate and Postgraduate Level. His research interests are concerned with: Fluid Mechanics, Computational Fluid Mechanics, Programming, Numerical Methods, Nanofluids, Electric/Magnetic Fluids and Biomechanics. Additionally, he has published over 90 original publications in international journals and conferences and has authored 4 books. He is responsible for research programs and member of national and international scientific associations. He has cooperated with institutions abroad, such as “The University of Western Australia” and the “University of Luxembourg”. He is a member of Editorial Board of International Scientific Journals and Conferences. He is a reviewer of scientific articles in international scientific journals and conferences. He has worked as Consultant of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technological Development of Western Greece, which was a structure of the Ministry of Development. He also has occupied at the Development Company of Etoloakarnania (AN.AIT. SA) as a Scientific & Technical Consultant, responsible for European Projects.
