Alexandros Fourlas is Vice Chairman of Goldair Handling, one of the leading ground
handling companies in Southeast Europe, operating in 36 airports across six countries, as well
as CEO of Goldair Handling in India, Serbia and Switwerland. With over 27 years of
executive experience across the EMEA region, Mr. Fourlas brings a rare combination of
public and private sector leadership to the topic of workforce mobility, as well as to business
and regulation in general.
He is directly responsible for Goldair Handling’s international workforce mobilisation
strategy, which includes overseeing the structured and lawful relocation of labor from abroad
(India, Philippines etc.) to Greece. In this capacity, he has worked closely with Greek
Ministries, Embassies, consular services, and international agencies to design sustainable
labor flows that meet operational needs while aligning with ethical and regulatory
frameworks.
Mr. Fourlas has played a pivotal role in shaping how Greek companies respond to labor
shortages, advocating for policies and partnerships that enable safe, efficient, and ethical
workforce mobility. His insights are grounded in real-world execution — from navigating
complex government processes to managing multi-country teams and operations.
Having served in top positions in the Ministry of Economy (Secretary General for Industry),
in EY’s corporate finance, Piraeus Securities etc., his work has consistently bridged
investment, employment, and regulatory reform. He holds an MBA from Warwick Business
School, has been awarded the CFA Charter, and has extensive experience in finance, mergers
&acquisitions, and strategic planning.
Mr. Fourlas joins this panel to share lessons from the field and contribute to a forward-
looking dialogue on how Greece can meet its workforce challenges through structured
international collaboration.
