Sokratis Baltas was born in Athens and holds a MEng in Civil Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace. In 2014, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom, and in 2017, he acquired an MSc in Civil Engineering from University College London (UCL). Sokratis started his career in 2009 at ReDePlan S.A. Consultants, where he participated in multiple projects, taking on various roles and responsibilities until 2018. He then permanently relocated to the United Kingdom, continuing his career as a Project Manager at Mace Group in London. He remained with Mace until 2021, ultimately serving as Associate Director before returning to Greece. Upon his relocation to Greece in 2022, he assumed the role of Operations Director at ReDePlan SA Consultants, and in September of the same year, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is currently leading the operations of ReDePlan, overseeing all services offered to clients while leading all the internal transformation of the company that is required to address client needs and market shifts. At the same time, he acts as the Project Director on several key projects that ReDePlan are delivering. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) as well as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), from which he is certified as a Chartered Construction Manager. His articles and commentary on urban landscape issues and the sustainable development of Greece’s infrastructure have been featured in prominent national media outlets.
