Maria Deda, born in Thessaloniki in 1976, is an accomplished architect with a diverse portfolio of work in Greece and abroad. A graduate of the American College Anatolia, she pursued her studies in Architecture at the renowned École Spéciale d'Architecture (E.S.A.) in Paris.
Maria Deda has collaborated with several architectural offices in Greece and abroad, earning distinctions in architectural competitions. In 2008, she founded Deda & Architects, bringing together a team of architects, engineers, and designers, along with consultants from London, Canada, and the USA. The firm’s work has been featured in the press and showcased in various exhibitions. Today, D&A operates offices both in Athens and Thessaloniki.
Maria Deda has extensive expertise in strategic architectural design and planning, with projects ranging from neighborhood-scale interventions to large-scale mixed-use urban developments. Her work emphasizes sustainability and innovation, ensuring long-term value in every project.
Furthermore, in her role as project director and planner, technical and strategic advisor in the development sector, she has been involved in a variety of projects.
Recent major projects include Atrium Gardens, the residential complex in Little Athens, and Cove Villas design for The Ellinikon, the adaptive reuse of office and residential buildings in downtown Athens, and large hospitality projects such as the refurbishment of Macedonia Pallas Hotel, Hyatt Regency and September Hotel. Other significant works include the Thessaloniki Port Masterplan, PAEGA Office Building in Thessaloniki, the Kassandra Center for Educational Excellence/IBDP, Mediterranean Cosmos shopping mall, a skyscraper proposal in Limassol, Cyprus, the redevelopment of Ladopoulos industry in Patra and many other prestigious projects. These projects highlight the firm's innovative approach and commitment to excellence.
