Victor Parlicov, Minister of Energy, Republic of Moldova
Recently appointed minister of Energy in Moldovan Government, Victor Parlicov has dealt with public policies and particularly the energy sector at different levels and in various roles for over 15 years.
He served as a General Director (Chairman) of the National Agency for Energy Regulation in Moldova (ANRE), supported Moldovan Signatories in the process of adherence to Covenant of Mayors, lead the Green City Lab Moldova, an NGO founded by 4 business entities at the initiative of UNDP Moldova, with the view of becoming the leading platform for interaction between local and central public authorities, private sector, and financing institutions to foster green urban development in Moldova.
Mr. Parlicov worked as consultant, trainer, M&E specialist and project manager, including experience in international teams and with World Bank projects. His background covers both the strategic / policy dimension of the energy sector as well as practical experience with infrastructural projects implementation with private sector and local public authorities.
Elected as Honorary Member of Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA).
