Athanasios Kottaras – STASY Managing Director, Executive Member of the
Board of Directors
Athanasios Kottaras is an economist. He graduated from the Department of
Economics of the University of Piraeus and pursued postgraduate studies at the
Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of the
Peloponnese on Global Political Economy.
He has been Managing Director of STASY since June 2022.
From June 2020 to May 2022 he served as Acting Managing Director of the Hellenic
Railways Organisation (OSE) and member of the Board of Directors of EUROFIMA
(European Company for the Financing of Railroad Rolling Stock). He has been an
official of the ACCI (Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry), where he was
employed from 2005 to 2019. He was member of the Board of Directors of the
Athens Development and Destination Management Agency of the City of Athens from
2014 to 2017. In the past, he has worked at the Accounting Department of the
Commercial Bank, Olympic Airways and the Hellenic Industrial Development Bank
(ETBA). He has co-founded a Business Consulting company and has served as
Director in food and energy provider companies.
