• Since December 2021, H.E Dr. Badr ABDELATTY is Ambassador of Egypt to Belgium & Luxembourg and Head of Mission to the European Union & NATO.
• 2019-2021: Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs
• 2015-2019: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Federal Republic of Germany
• 2013-2015: Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt as well as Director General, Department of Public Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• 2012: Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs and National Coordinator at the Union for the Mediterranean (UFM), and Member of the Board of Governors at the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF).
• Previously Ambassador ABDELATTY served as DCM in the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Brussels, and First Secretary and Counselor in the Embassies of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Tel Aviv, Tokyo and Washington DC.
• Ambassador ABDELATTY was a Researcher at Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, Cairo.
• Ambassador ABDELATTY has an MSC and Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Cairo. He has several publications including 2 books and several articles.
