Dr Dia Evagorou holds a PhD degree in Language, Discourse, and Communication from King’s College London. Her main research interests are in the area of Discourse Analysis and Communication Research. Her doctoral research is mixed-method, cross-linguistic, combining corpus tools with discourse-analytical methods to study language use in media communication. She is interested in interdisciplinary applications of Discourse Analysis investigating the relation of discourse with ideology in different communicational contexts, strategic and corporate communication, and critical linguistic awareness in education. She has also worked as an editor in several Cypriot media regarding language, education and culture. She works as a research fellow in Demotec Project and is a member of the Language Experts pool at the European University of Technology alliance.
