Dr. Marie Bountrogianni sits on the boards of various philanthropic organizations. Her former positions include: Independent Director of Northland Power Inc.; Dean at Metropolitan Toronto University (former Ryerson University); Cabinet Minister with the Ontario government where she authored the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act); President and Executive Director of the ROM (Canada’s largest museum) Board of Governors, and Chief Psychologist of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.

Marie has taught at various colleges and universities in Ontario including Wilfrid Laurier University, McMaster University and Seneca College.

She is married to McMaster University Professor Emeritus Ioannis Tsanis and they have two children, Alexander and Joanna and a grandchild Ioannis.
