Mr. Demetris PETRIDES is an Industrial Extension Officer at the Circular Economy Unit of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry. He holds an MEng in Design and Manufacturing from the University of Patras (UoP), and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics (UoP).

He has worked as a Research Engineer on national and European-funded projects at the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Automation of the UoP and as a Project Manager at the Cyprus Research and Innovation Center (CyRIC). He also served as an Industrial Extension Officer at the Energy Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry.

Since February 2023, Demetris is part of the Circular Economy Unit of the Ministry, where his role involves promoting the concept of Circular Economy in Cyprus, and implementing the National Action Plan for Circular Economy.
