Brief biographical note September 2026 DIMITRIOS KARDOMATEAS Dimitrios Kardomateas is the Chairman of the Board and General Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving of Greece (C.R.E.S.). He is a Chemical Engineer with postgraduate studies in Environmental Control and in Business Administration. He has more than 35 years of technical and administrative experience in the energy sector, starting as process engineer at the engineering company ASPROFOS S.A. (6 yrs), continuing in the gas business as Director for Strategy and Development at the integrated gas company DEPA S.A. (15 yrs) and as General Director at the Gas Network Operator DESFA S.A. (13 yrs), then focusing on the Energy Transition as Head of the Office of the Secretary General for Energy and Mineral Resources and Advisor to the Deputy Minister for Environment & Energy (1,5 yr), finally moving to C.R.E.S. as C.E.O. (since Dec. 2023). He has been elected member of the B.o.D. of European Organizations in the gas sector (11 yrs) and invited member of the think tank “Conceil de Cooperation Economique” (5 yrs). He has also served as the President of the Management Organization Unit of Development Programs (M.O.U.) S.A. (3 yrs). He has published a lot of articles in the field of energy. He is the author of the book «Οι παγκόσμιοι Νόμοι της Ζωής - μια ματιά στις αιτίες των γεγονότων», εκδόσεις «Διάνοια», 2023 (2η έκδοση 2025).
