Zoi Geitona

CGS (Costeas - Geitonas School)

Zoi Geitona was born in Athens and is a graduate of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Costeas-Geitonas School (CGS). She pursued her undergraduate studies in Mathematics at Imperial College London and subsequently continued her postgraduate education at the University of Cambridge, where she specialized in Mathematics Education. In 2006, she completed a second postgraduate programme at Harvard University in Boston, with a focus on Learning and Teaching. She has extensive experience in secondary education, having taught Mathematics at the secondary school level. Throughout her professional career, she has held a number of significant positions in the field of education. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Educational Policy, Vice President of the Governing Committee for Model and Experimental Schools, and representative of the Ministry of Education in the European Network on Teacher Education Policies. Since 2016, she has served as President of the Association of International Baccalaureate (IB) Schools in Greece, contributing to the advancement and development of IB education in the country. Her professional and academic interests encompass educational leadership and innovation, while her personal interests include music and sports. She has a particular passion for open-water swimming.
